Version 2026-07-30-mvp-sponsors · Updated July 30, 2026
The Bell Brief (thebellbrief.com) is operated by Dr. Jennifer Bell, DDS as a sole proprietor. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it when you visit the site or join the email list—including how we may work with sponsors and advertisers in the future.
What we collect
- Email address and preferences you choose (how often, role, time window)
- How you use the site and emails (for example pages or stories viewed, “open original,” shares, and delivery events like opens/clicks when our tools support them)
- Technical data such as device/browser type and approximate location from IP (mainly for security and analytics)
How we use it
- To send The Bell Brief on the schedule you picked
- To send related notes from Jennifer about the brief, her work, or offers and opportunities that may interest dental professionals
- To run, secure, and improve the website and email experience
- To support the business of The Bell Brief—including measuring interest, growing the audience, and commercial partnerships (see below)
Sponsors, ads, and partners
We may earn revenue from sponsors and advertisers so we can keep the brief free (or low-cost) for readers. That can include:
- Sponsored content or ads in the email digest and/or on the website (clearly labeled when we can)
- Audience insights shared with sponsors—often in summary or group form (for example size of the list, role mix, engagement trends)—so they understand reach and interest
- Campaign measurement (for example whether a sponsored message or placement was delivered, opened, or clicked), using our tools or a sponsor’s tracking where appropriate
- Limited data sharing for a sponsored campaign when needed to run or measure that campaign (for example lists of engagement events or segments), under agreements that limit how partners use the information
We may also license, rent, or sell access to parts of the subscriber list or related engagement data to carefully chosen dental-industry sponsors or partners, where the law allows and where you have agreed to this policy and signup consent. If we do that, we still expect partners to respect opt-outs and applicable email laws. We will not use your information in ways that break those rules.
You can always unsubscribe from our emails. Unsubscribing stops our marketing and digest mail to that address; it may not remove historical records we keep for legal, suppression, or analytics reasons.
Who else processes data
We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and similar infrastructure. They process data for us under their terms and ours. We may also work with professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality when needed.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage for preferences, analytics, advertising-related measurement if we run ads, and to remember if you’ve already subscribed so we don’t keep showing signup prompts.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe link in every marketing or digest email
- Preference links when we provide them
- Questions: hello@thebellbrief.com
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date (and version) at the top. Continued use of the site or list after an update means you accept the new version where the law allows. If we make a big change to how we share data with sponsors, we’ll try to give a clear notice on the site or by email when it’s practical.
